Job Title: Associate Medical Director – Pediatrics (Clinical Only)

Position Summary

TLC Pediatrics is seeking an experienced and compassionate Associate Medical Director – Pediatrics to join our clinical team. This role is entirely clinical in nature and is designed for a senior pediatric provider who is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting clinical excellence within the practice. This position does not include administrative, operational, financial, or staffing responsibilities.

The Associate Medical Director will function as a highly skilled clinician and trusted clinical resource, helping uphold TLC Pediatrics’ standards of care, quality, and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits, sick visits, preventive care, and chronic condition management
• Diagnose and treat pediatric illnesses using evidence-based clinical guidelines
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and therapies in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Clinical Support & Quality

• Serve as a senior clinical resource for pediatric providers as needed
• Support adherence to clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and best practices
• Participate in peer review, chart reviews, and clinical quality initiatives when requested
• Assist with implementation of updated clinical guidelines and standards of care
• Support compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements related to clinical services

Patient & Family Experience

• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families
• Educate caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up needs
• Promote a patient-centered, family-focused care environment aligned with TLC Pediatrics’ values

Scope of Role

• Clinical duties only
• No involvement in administrative leadership, operations, billing, coding, contracting, scheduling, staffing, or financial management
• No payer negotiations or practice management responsibilities

Qualifications

Required

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Active, unrestricted state medical license
• Current DEA registration
• Minimum of [X] years of pediatric clinical experience

Preferred

• Prior experience in a senior pediatric or lead provider role
• Outpatient pediatric practice experience
• Strong commitment to quality improvement and collaborative care
